Traditionally, apartment living has been considered less energy intensive than standalone homes, however with differing energy efficiency benchmarks for high-rise dwellings (20%) and lower density options (40%), will this idea remain true into the future? Does densification always represent improved performance? Northrop has examined several high-density developments across Sydney that have implemented major energy projects and will discuss whether these projects have resulted in better energy efficiency for residents.
