Abstract:

It is a new project; new team first kick off meeting – centralised systems are discussed for a total of 2 minutes and very quickly shut down. It is common that we overlook the financial and resources efficiency aspect of centralising systems, from ease of implementation, to a lack of understanding of the financial logistics, centralised systems are often one of those missed opportunities in a multi-dwelling development. In this presentation, we will focus on assessing the feasibility of centralised vs individual systems from a whole of life perspective, as well as demonstrating a few financial models to managing the ongoing operational expenditure.
